Our PS100 Power Electronic inverter is at the heart of PESO (Port Energy Systems Optimisation) project. PESO demonstrated how ports can use smart grid technology and energy storage to decarbonise their activities, and reduce their adverse impact on air quality, more cost effectively than would otherwise be possible. Our inverter interfaces GS Yuasa dual-chemical battery to the grid. HiT Power and GS Yuasa have been working closely together to supply fully integrated Energy Storage Systems and we are proud to be able provide our technology to Portsmouth International Port. The project, co-funded by Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, has shown how port infrastructure can meet the UK Government’s ‘Clean Maritime Plan’ challenges cost effectively.
